Observations
In red environments, we experience increased eye blinking, elevated blood pressure, heartbeat & respiration rates, higher energy & excitement. Our sense of smell and the sensitivity to tasting foods also improves. Weights and time are also affected when surrounded by colors of this spectrum. Elements seem heavier and time seems to slow down when under the influence of red.

In its lightest variations pink may be considered innocent, sweet & tender - These delicate shades are soft & almost ethereal - The more saturated tones are reminiscent of cotton-candy with more grayed, dusty pinks that are categorized | as cozy & romantic - Pair these colors with tones of peach & yellow for an analogous scheme - Contrast them with darker greens or teal for a more complementary approach |

When pinks are more mid-tone, with low chromaticity, they are more sentimental, comforting, caring, intimate & affectionate - As they become more | intense - pinks are ‘happy’, youthful & fun - These colors have enough character to make a confident statement in an area that needs gentle warmth |

Reds range from those colors with subtle depth such as rose, light claret, lipstick shades & rouge - They have enough softness for larger expanses of interior wall areas or as an accent in public spaces to the brighter and deeper colors of geranium, wine & deep ruby that should be used in smaller amounts | due to their strong character - The reds that are softer & more grayed are much more livable & include colors of berry, cranberry and burgundy - These colors may be perfect as accenting in fabrics, artwork, upholsteries or in flooring materials |
